Talking about usability

After what seems like a short but long time, we’re back with a new podcast. It’s been an interesting few months. Take a listen to this new episode to find out what we’ve been up to, and what we’re going to be up to. Then, we discuss an issue that Aaron is very passionate about: usability and user advocacy.

This week’s podcast postponed

Scott has come down with some strange, Andromeda Strain-like cold, so his voice isn’t up to recording a voice mail let alone an episode of our podcast. So, we’ll be returning the week of March 19.

A few changes

We’re experimenting a bit with our upcoming podcasts. This week, we recorded the podcast using Skype and a little piece of software software called PowerGramo. Leave a comment to let us know whether or not you like this little experiment.

On top of that, we’ll be making the podcast available at our blog, thanks to an embeddable player that PodBean has made available. We’ll still be posting at this site, but we’re going to try to make our blog the main point of entry for the podcast. Again, let us know what you think about this.

If you want to link to a podcast, feel free to click on the Embeddable Player link below the podcast’s entry on this page. Then, copy and paste the code for the player into your blog. We only ask that you leave a comment or email us to let us know where you’re linking from.

On hiatus until January 1

We’ve been on a brief hiatus during the craziness of the Christmas holiday. So, you’ll notice a lull in posting the podcast. We will be resuming our weekly podcast on January 1 to kick off the year of the pig with some insight into providing value as a technical writer in your organization.

We hope that you’ve had a good break and look forward to a great year in 2007.
